Get answers to these questions at Sisterhood's Opening Meeting and Luncheon. We will hear about "Tales from the Crypt" from Fred Rasmussen, the Baltimore Sun's preeminent obituary writer. According to the City Paper, Fred has "been bringing the dead to life for 20 of his 40 years at the paper." Luncheon will be served. Cost - $25. Sunday, September 10 – 1:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Beth El Sisterhood is excited to announce a “Fall Fashion Fest” featuring 11 of our favorite vendors to be held on Sunday, September 10 in the Schapiro Auditorium.  This event will be after the paid-up opening brunch in the morning.  The “Fall Fashion Fest” is open to all members of Beth El as well as family, relatives, neighbors, and women in the community.

Professor Bill Messenger "Personal research into the stories behind several hundred timeless songs has led me to conclude that the birth of every great theater song begins with some basic emotion." Professor Bill Messenger, currently an instructor at Towson University's Osher program, will offer an interesting presentation on American music and songwriters. His musical career includes studio work on many early rock 'n' roll recordings. He has accompanied many nationally known performers during his years in the music business, including Lou Rawls and Cass Elliot, and he worked as an opener for Bill Haley and the Comets.

WOMEN OF HAR SINAI CONGREGATION

All activities are at the synagogue. The community is invited to all of the following activities:
Bible study with our Rabbi Linda Joseph continues on Mondays from 11am-12 noon in the library.

Another adult learning course is called SPICE = Social interaction, Personal growth, Intellectual development, Cultural stimulation, Educational enrichment. Costs vary. Our Sisterhood has changed! We will now be called Women of Har Sinai Congregation. We have a new logo, as well as updated by-laws and mission statement.
