NOVEMBER DINNER MEETING

Program: "Maryland Legislative Agenda for Women (MLAW): 30 Years of Making a Difference for Women and Families in Maryland." 
Guest Speaker:
Michaele Cohen,
President of the MLAW Board of Directors.
Michaele Cohen has served as president of the Maryland Legislative Agenda for Women (MLAW) since 2006 and was the co-founder of the 30 year old organization. She was the executive director of the
Maryland Network Against Domestic Violence (MNADV) for 18 ½ years (1999-2017), served on its Board of Directors for 18 years before that, and was a founding member of the organization in 1980. Prior to moving to the MNADV, Michaele was the director of the YWCA Woman's Center for 15 ½ years and director of communications for 4 years at the YWCA of Annapolis and Anne Arundel County.
Cost: $36 Dinner

NOVEMBER SOCIAL ACTION PROJECT:
Federation is happy to partner with Covenant Guild to collect non-perishable, non-expired canned food goods for Owings Mills Elementary School's food pantry for Thanksgiving. Here is the list of items that Owings Mills Elementary School is requesting: Canned vegetables, Juice boxes, Fruit cups, Any type of pasta like Chef Boyardee, Cheese crackers, Peanut butter crackers, Granola bars and Thanksgiving canned food products, such as potatoes, cranberry sauce, gravy, etc.
Please bring these donations to our November Dinner Meeting or you may drop them off at Linda Roedel's house at 113 Old House Ct., Pikesville, MD. 21208. Our Deadline is Sunday, November 24th. Please contact Rochelle Bohrer with any questions - 410-922-9672. Thank you for your support!
